We’re Sam & Ally, the girls behind the cameras
We’re sisters who simply love to capture special memories. Our studio, based in Wootton, is home to many of our sessions — a warm, relaxed space where the magic happens.
Our love for photography really took off after we had children — we became utterly obsessed with taking photos of them. Ally brings a design background and studied photography, while Sam has always been a keen amateur behind the lens. It felt only natural to turn a shared passion into something of our own, and so Double Take Moments was born.
Photography is our thing — we can’t get enough of it (much to the amusement of our husbands, who’ve learned to expect camera equipment on every trip out!).
What we love
We adore working with children — they’re our passion. They’re so much fun and often completely unfazed by the camera, and we do everything we can to help them feel relaxed and themselves.
We also love photographing couples and weddings. There’s nothing quite like being part of a special day — helping where needed, being your go-to pair, and at times quietly blending in so you barely notice us. Our aim is to tell your wedding day as a story: vintage in style, natural and as un-staged as possible. Whatever look you’re dreaming of, we’ll help you achieve it.
Ally
Happiest in the background finding the quiet, in-between moments. Loves golden-hour light, film grain and a good cup of tea between shots.
Sam
The one who’ll make you laugh until the posing melts away. Loves portraits, movement and capturing the way people are with each other.
